Since 2016, Rainbow for Africa UK volunteers have participated in a number of free medical camps in collaboration with local partners of the St Paul Chaplaincy (University of Nairobi) and a number of other local organisations and businesses.

These camps present an opportunity for the local population to access diagnostic healthcare and/or treatment at no cost.

The medical camps are usually located in central regions within close proximity to slums and informal settlements characterised by extreme poverty and they are accessible to those travelling by foot.

A few examples of our activities during these free medical camps include clinical work in partnership with local health professionals/volunteers and coaching of local medical and health professional students by a multi-disciplinary team of mainly internationally-trained clinicians.
